Life in Buffalo

Bike Path in Buffalo

My hobby is to ride a bicycle. Everyday I am enjoying riding my cheep bicycle which I bought in Target (supermarket) in the bike path close to the UB's north campus. This bike path has a lot of enjoyable points, and it is also good as a walking path, so I highly want to recommend it to you.

First, I want to explain about the location of this bike path. It is located on east to north campus. It starts from Forest Rd. and ends in Ellicott Creek Park. The total length is approximately 5 miles. I could not find the name of this path, so I named "Ellicott Creek Path" by myself. E.C.Path has many narrow streets which go through different entrance, so you can join to this path wherever you can join. One of these narrow street connects to UB's north campus. From Forest Rd., it is about 2 miles. After the intensive study of ELI, you can do your exercise directly from UB.

Second, I want you imagine the atmosphere of this path. Everyday there are lots of people on this path. Not only evening but also in early morning people are doing bicycle riding, running, and walking. According to my observation, the majority is walking. Then, we can see bicycle and a little running people. Since this path is quite long, if you do these exercises very hard, you will take off your clothes. Therefore, we can see lots of different fashion there. E.C.Path is surrounded by forests. Going through the path, fresh green smell will come into your nose. I am not sure, though, there are thousand kinds of plants. Sometimes, you can see little animals such as birds, squirrels, and turtles etc... Dandelion is blooming recently, yet this is annoy. If you like to watch flowers, you can explore other flowers of this area.

Third, I want to write about my subjective aspects about this path. As I said above, we can see a lot of walkers there. The most interesting thing of going through this path is to watch people. Especially each walker has each feature, so they will make you enjoy. For instance, I often see sweet couple who looks like over 70 years old. They are taking their hands each other, and walking with smile, laughter, and discussing. By chance you might be able to hear their talking. This will be our English listening practice. Or, some are walking with their dogs. Watching dogs faces, we can enjoy our exercise. Some dogs are acting against their owners. Some are sticking them. Since I am a dog person, I can not stop watching their cute and funny behavior. If you stop, and ask them to play with dogs, then you can have fun. This also will be the nice opportunity to speak English or make friends. What made me surprise the most was people who are exercising there are very friendly. They try to say "hi" friendly to us. Just saying "hi" to them will make your day brilliant. All in all, this path will make you refresh.

For these reasons, I would like to recommend E.C.Path to you as a exercising spot. Even though now you are living far away from North Campus, you should take a look this path. I am sure that this path will give you some benefit
